A 47 yard field goal by Al Del Greco with one minute remaining gave the Packers a 24-23 lead and was looking like it would be enough for the upset. Payton led all rushers with 49 yards on 12 carries while Anderson ran for 22 yards and caught five passes for another 102 yards. Epps led all receivers with six catches and 139 yards.
