Frank Kush has a homecoming of sorts as he leads his Colts into a preseason tilt with the Atlanta Falcons in Tempe, Arizona, home of the Arizona State Sun Devils whom he coached for most of his career. After the Falcons got on the board first, the Colts took over, scoring the next 34 points which included an 83 yard bomb from Mike Pagel to Ray Butler. Steve Bartkowski did not play. On an interesting note, Scott Norwood kicked off for Atlanta to start the second half. The future Buffalo Bills kicker tried to make the team in 1982 but was cut. He would play in the USFL for two seasons before arriving in Buffalo in 1985. Corey McPherrin, Beau Bock and Bill Hartman have the call. |
