Comments:	This had become a big Rivalry. iowa had tied Notre Dame in South Bend 14-14 the year before and the tie had cost The Irish a National Championship as they finished 9-0-1. To add insult to injury The Irish were accused of faking injurys before the end of the first half and second half as the scrambled to score late Touchdowns to tie the game. No such controversy this year. the Irish took control in the second and third quarter and held off a late Hawkeye rally to win 34-18. This is a Black and White Film narrated by Bill Symes.
