The Buckeyes would suffer their first losing season in 1988 since 1966 but for a magical day they would rule college football. LSU was heavily favored, ranked in the top ten and with Ohio State coming off of a 42-10 Blowout loss to Pitt the previous week Buckeye chances looked slim. LSU played the favorites role most of the game and led by 9 with around two minutes to play but Greg Frey engineered a remarkable late comeback for the ages and Buckeye fans went home happy. |
