Offensive showdown in San Diego...All sort of records broken during the game. Both team gained 883 passing yards (broke record set dec. 16th 1962 Eagles/Cardinals). Wes Chandler had 254 receiving yards (broke Lance Alworth`s 1963 team record of 232 yards). It was also the first time in NFL history two quaterbacks had over 400 passing yards each in the same game. |
