| Comments: |
Atlanta Braves 2
Florida Marlins 5
The series moved to Miami tied after 2 games but the Marlins at an emotional low losing the 2nd game and starter Alex Fernandez to rotator cuff injury in the process. So Atlanta appeared to be at a significant advantage as John Smoltz faced off against lightly-regarded Troy Saunders in this one. Livan Hernandez would make his 1st impression on the series in this one.
