After a split in Los Angeles this game 3 is huge. How will the Lakers respond after being blown out in game 2 ? At the beginning it’s all Blazers as they jump out to a 15-2 lead. Portland leads at halftime 55-45. Then the Lakers go on a 34-13 run to take a 10 point lead. It gets tight late. Ron Harper hits what turns out to be the game winner with a wide open baseline jumper with 30 seconds left. It’s a wild final 30 seconds. Kobe Bryant comes up with a last second block on Arvydas Sabonis to save the game. Bryant who kept the Lakers in the game with 18 points in the first half finishes with 25 points and 7 assists. Shaquille O’Neal who was scoreless in the 1st quarter finishes with 26 points 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. With the 93-91 win the Lakers regain home court advantage. |
