We get to see Two things here. It’s only preseason but for the Lakers it’s the Forum debut for Shaquille O’Neal and an 18-year-old Kobe Bryant. For the 76ers it’s the earliest television appearance for the #1 pick in the 1996 draft Allen Iverson from Georgetown. He scores 14 points, and you get to see his famous crossover. Lucious Harris adds 13 points, and Mark Davis makes this team with a nice game scoring 16 points. This game was never in doubt as the Lakers cruise to a 113-92 win. Shaquille O’Neal looks great with 25 points 10 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Cedric Ceballos adds 18 points and 7 rebounds. Nick Van Exel has 12 points and 5 assists. Byron Scott makes his Lakers return scoring 11 points. Kobe Bryant shows his potential with a highlight reel play in the 4th quarter. He winds up with 11 points on the night. |
