| Comments: |
Tulane in its First Tournament game in school history. They get a 61-57 win. The Green Wave had a unique substitution pattern. They would take out all of The starters at the same time and replace them with a group they called the Posse. The idea being they would make the game up tempo and force turnovers. This is the final game for St.John`s coaching legend Lou Carnesecca ( 1965-701973-1992 ). David Whitmore leads Tulane with 15 points. Malik Sealy leads the Redmen with 20. |
