Comments:	This is an excellent Championship game. It goes down to the final shot. With Creighton leading 77-75 Salukis point guard Sterling Mahan makes a short shot in the lane to tie the game at 77-77 with 12 seconds left. With 2 Seconds left Bluejays guard James Farr give Creighton the lead back at 79-77. After 2 timeouts Southern Illinois throws a long pass down court to Jerry Jones who misses a short shot at the buzzer. Creighton is led by Chad Gallagher who has 25 points and 8 rebounds. Matt Roggenburk adds 20 points. For Southern Illinois they are led by Kai Nürnberger who has a career high 8 3 point field goals ( 8-11 ) totaling 28 points. Winning their 3rd MVC tournament championship Creighton will face Missouri in the 1st Round. Southern Illinois goes to the NIT where they will face Saint Louis.
