Special teams did the Wolverines in on this day as Purdue scored the final 8 points with that third unit. First, a punt was misplayed by Dick Sygar at the 1 and he ran back in his own end zone where he was tackled for a safety. Later, Michigan was punting deep in their own territory and it was blocked by the Boilers and they ran it in to take a lead they would not surrender. Dave Fisher had 120 yards rushing for the Wolverines in the loss. |
