The Jets excruciating season comes to a close in Miami as with the the loss they finish in last place in the AFC East after starting the season with hopes of a division title and Super Bowl. This would be Richard Todd`s last game as a Jet, ending a career full of ups and downs. For Miami, it was another trip to the playoffs and they continued to rest their rookie Dan Marino after a minor injury. Don Strock would start this one and go the distance.
