In the Bears first ever franchise game without George Halas, they fought hard but fell short against the Rams. Walter Payton throws a touchdown pass back to the quarterback Jim McMahon, but it wasn`t enough to overcome the league`s leading rusher Eric Dickerson and his 127 and two scores. Payton hit a major milestone in the game though, eclipsing 11,000 yards for his career. Tim Ryan and Johnny Morris have the call. |
