Rivalry game. Even with the Buckeyes down, they gave Michigan all they could handle. After falling behind 20-0, Ohio State rallied with 24 unanswered points to take the lead. Then, both teams traded punches until the Wolverines finally held on with a 41 yd touchdown pass to John Kolesar. John Cooper was in his first season coaching the Buckeyes and Ohio State had their worst season since 1966. Cooper would go on to have tremendous difficulty beating Michigan during his tenure. Gary Bender, Dick Vermeil and Lynn Swann have the call. |
