Comments: The Steelers had reached the past two Super Bowls by beating the Raiders in the AFC Championship Game, but this was Oakland`s day. Pittsburgh was without starting running backs Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier, both injured the previous week. Reggie Harrison rushed 11 times for 44 yards for the Steelers, but three Raiders surpassed that total as Oakland churned out 157 yards on 51 carries. Ken Stabler completed just 10 passes for 88 yards, but his touchdown pass off a play fake with 17 seconds left in the first half made it a 17-7 game. He threw another touchdown for the only points of the second half. Curt Gowdy and Don Meredith have the call.
