The Sounders got a tremendous 2-1 away win against D.C. United in RFK Stadium to win the U.S. Open Cup, and a guaranteed berth into the following season`s CONCACAF Champions League.
This match will probably be best remembered for Fredy Montero`s goal to open the scoring, and D.C. goalie Josh Wicks then stomping on him. |
