The Sounders went on the road and got a point by earning a very tough road draw in Chicago, 1-1. The Sounders were down to 10 men for most of the 2nd half after a red card on Fredy Montero. The Fire took a 1-0 lead, but the Sounders scored their first goal on both a corner kick, and also their first when they trailed on the scoreboard.
