As my user name implies, my primary area of interest is in Wisconsin state sports. Wisconsin Badgers football & basketball, and Green Bay Packers.
I only capture games in top-quality and try to limit the output burns to a maximum 1 hour per DVD-R or DVD+R, maximum 2 hours on DVD+/-DL. !!NEW!! August 2009: I recently switched my editing method, and my software may allow me to burn a DL disc of a complete game without any loss of quality.
Since August 2009, I have been making discs with radio game coverage on audio 2. This takes some time to edit, so not all the games I capture may have this feature. Of course, the radio audio would be local Packers Radio Network or Badgers Radio Network.
Above all, please note that I do not sell games!
I believe that collecting games will actually benefit the sports, teams, leagues and networks in the long run. Network stock footage is subject to degradation and loss. We are preservers of the memories and accomplishments of the athletes, teams and coaches we watch.
Another issue worth noting is that games that I record are edited to be free of commercials. I see no value in recording them, and I do not want them in my saved games. Further, modern ads (especially network show plugs - and FOX is the worst) are often unacceptable for young sports fans, and I want my games to be watchable by all.
