I have been starting to trade games once again. Currently, I am entertaining a few trades at a time so that I do not get bogged down. I have been working to update my Goalline list so that the games have the correct dates, grades, etc. Currently my focus is as follows:
*Miami Dolphins
*Cleveland Browns
*Ohio State Buckeyes Football
*Any memorable NFL, MLB, NCAA, NBA game.
Please do not hesitate to email me if you see any game you need for your collection. I believe in paying forward. Please keep in mind that I will be taking trades in a manageable fashion. I am really bad about checking the Private message on this site. If you wish to contact me, please email me.
Game grading is very subjective. I try to be fair and use the standard average in grading my games. Usually, I will use the grade from the person that I received the game from in the trade. Here is a breakdown of my ratings:
*10.0 - Very superb video--no noticable flaws.
*9.0 - DVR to DVD. Or very high quality VHS to DVD video, like it was broadcasted. I also use this grade for network masters and re-aires (assuming that the broadcast companies have the best versions).
*8.5 - Good VHS copies
*8.3 - Average VHS copies.
*8.0 - Decent VHS copies.
*7.9 - Mulit-gen VHS copies..OK, video.
*< 7.9 - For hard-core fans.
Pretty much anything under 8.0 is going to have noticeable flaws, generations, etc.
As for my trading preferences, I do prefer better quality DVD`s, The best I have found are Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Maxell, Phillips. I have had a couple cheapo DVD`s go bad on me over the years. If you are serious about building and keeping a cool collection of history, then go with the better brands.
